Actually, the drive for funds by the Lions was a unique one, taking a page from the US government's book, they began a bond drive, asking all citizens to purchase bonds for the new camp. Members of the Lions Club assured the public that the bonds would be non-reemable and would not pay-off any interest but rather would be gift-edged for rich dividends for a worthy cause that would benefit the youth of Greater Lynn for years ahead."
